With an avalanche of bills and the opening of his newest hardware store, polygamist Bill Henrickson is feeling the stress of running three households.

In addition to the emotional and financial needs of three wives and seven kids, Bill faces a series of crises affecting his parents, Franklin and Lois, who live on a polygamist compound called Juniper Creek, as well as an unexpected business challenge from Roman, one of his fathers-in-law and Juniper Creek's "Prophet."
