Bad luck seems to target Larry David. Strangers steal his shoes while he's bowling; his decorator refuses to share Diane Keaton's phone number when static makes it impossible to decipher her message on his answering machine.

Even when he means well, it doesn't always end well. When Larry arranges an obituary for his wife's beloved aunt, the "a" in "aunt" is inadvertently replaced with a "c", and her family is convinced he did it on purpose.
