An African-American family named the Blacks is displaced by "Hurricane Edna," and ends up moving in with Larry and Cheryl.

Finding new ways to offend his house guests, Larry's other escapades include: having it out with a dry-cleaner who loses his Yankee jersey; atoning for a missed dinner party by showing up a day late; and stealing flowers from a car-crash memorial. But, as his self-absorption grows more outrageousness, has he finally gone too far with the one person who's always been there for him?
